SMART gladly accepts stock donations. To make a gift of stock please follow these two steps:

Step 1: Complete Transfer

Instruct institution where stocks are held to transfer the shares to the Schools, Mentoring, and Resource Team account at Bank of America Merrill Lynch using the following codes:

DTC # 5198

Account # 6ZJ-10528

Should you require it, SMART's Employer Identification Number (EIN)/Federal Tax Identification Number (TIN) is 94-3287468.

Should you or your broker have any technical inquiries regarding the transfer please contact our account manager at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, John Bryant, at 646-855-8914.

Step 2: Notify SMART of Gift

Stock donations transfer to SMART's account with no accompanying donor information. In order for SMART to identify your gift and send a tax receipt you will need to provide us with the gift details including the name of the stock, the number of shares, and date of transfer.

Please notify SMART of your donation by contacting Kelly Brian Shea by email (kelly@thesmartprogram.org) or phone (415-944-2138) to provide this information.

You can make a gift to SMART through your Donor Advised Fund (DAF) by recommending a gift to SMART. SMART's Employer Identification Number (EIN) is 94-3287468.

As a community-involved and values-driven company, you can partner with us to take action and provide opportunity for all students in San Francisco.

Ways that companies can support SMART financially include:

Corporate Contributions and Event Sponsorships: SMART accepts general contributions as well as event sponsorships at various levels. These funds help us fulfill our mission of providing low-income students an exceptional education and the skills needed to thrive in college and in life.

In-kind Donations: SMART hosts activities and events throughout the year. Donated space and food for these events are greatly appreciated. Additionally, we could often benefit from technical equipment such as computers, office furniture, and other in-kind goods and services.

Matching Gifts: Corporate matching gifts are an invaluable source of funding for SMART. Many corporations match employee contributions.
